Proposed BIll 979

Dear CBOA members,
I have been informed today to make the CBOA members aware of the proposed Governor's Bill 979. In short, this bill allows each town legislatively adopt an alternative building code that requires zero energy provisions for residential & commercial buildings. This bill is up for public comment on Monday 2/27/23. Please review the bill through the links below. See page 8 of 13 for the details.

OSBI Response to October Mtg.

Question, what happens if architect passes away after CDs.
OSBI Response – See IBC CT Codes Section “107.6 Additional Requirements” …” In the event such architect or engineer is unable to fulfill his or her review responsibilities, an additional architect or engineer shall be retained and the local building official shall be informed, in writing, of such retainer.”

On September 27, 2022 the Regulation Review committee approved with technical corrections the;

2022 Connecticut State Fire Prevention Code

These codes will become effective October 1, 2022

When you've found the classes that you want, click on the blue "Register" button to add it to your cart. It's just like shopping online.
