About the Program
Built to code means that nothing bad should happen, so what does Built to Last mean? Built to Last ensures that the facility is built to withstand a fire, flood, hurricane or other disaster. Property insurance carriers require that a facility is built to their standards to not only ensure that “nothing bad should happen” but to ensure that the facility will be able to return to normal operations with little or no interruption.

This presentation will cover why insurance requirements are often different than the local code requirements and how the local AHJ can benefit from the insurance companies requirements for facilities in their jurisdiction.
