Seeking Candidate for Codes and Standards

The Connecticut Building Officials Association is currently in the process of seeking a candidate to succeed Henry Miga, representing a licensed building official member on the Codes & Standards Committee. The Connecticut Legislature established the Codes & Standards Committee under CGS §29-251 to work with the State Building Inspector and the State Fire Marshal for the development and enforcement of the State Building and Fire Safety Codes. The committee is also responsible for the hearing of appeals and for licensure / certification revocations. The Committee consists of 23 members from all aspects of the construction industry. The Committee meets on a monthly basis (currently via MS Teams), and hearings are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
